Woke up this morning in Boston to what at first seemed like purple light outside. On closer inspection, it was mottled pink clouds over a blue sky.

My main resolution for 2026 is to phase out the nickname "Stinky" (inapplicable + not exactly nice) for Potato and replace it with "Doodle Bug" (nonsensically affectionate).

I've now made it through thirteen of the twenty-six Zatoichi movies and loved the first ten or eleven. It's been great reference for one of my current writing projects and this scene in particular helped inspire a song.

I realize that I essentially posted a clip from the dumbest TV show that Mike Judge could imagine ever existing, but I can now say if that show featured tech bros, I'd be glued to the set.

There's a line of dialogue in The Outer Worlds 2 by Product Envisioner Ormsby where he says that the Auntie's Choice lab in Eden's Bounty Agricenter was formerly used by the Protectorate for "seed storage or something equally prozaic."
"Seed Storage" was the original code name for that location.
