Facing a few years of uncertain and unsettling times... all created to boost the fragile ego of a criminally convicted rapist and psychopath with no moral compass. Shame on the dark forces lining up in the Supreme Court and elsewhere to support this crook.

As we mourn Rob Reiner, don’t skip this: he was, pretty much, personally responsible for overturning California’s Prop 8 banning same sex marriage.

Rob was the big-hearted genius behind many of the classic stories we love, with projects as wide-ranging as The Princess Bride to A Few Good Men.

His boundless empathy made his stories timeless, teaching generations to see goodness and righteousness in others — and encouraging us to dream bigger.

That empathy extended well beyond his films. Rob was a passionate advocate for children and for civil rights — from taking on Big Tobacco, fighting for marriage equality, to serving as a powerful voice in early education. He made California a better place through his good works.

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

I have NEVER liked Donald Trump, even well before he got into politics. He is a narcissist and a charlatan. He is a dangerous sicko in a position of great power. I hope democracy survives his "reign".

It is true that Trump is not an ideologue in a strict sense. He is, more than anything, animated by a set of grievances. But those are not random. They are related to his view of how status and power ought to be distributed.

That is true for Donald Trump himself also. He is not just a grumpy old man indulging in racist stereotypes, but a politician committed to a worldview shaped and organized by racism and white supremacy. What is on display here is not just personal bigotry.

Elections have consequences. A man like this never belonged near the levers of power. Not the first time. And certainly not this second time when everything was knowable. We are trapped in a tragedy and must fight our way out.

This is Trump's way. The people around him make a bargain with the Devil. They trade proximity to power for their souls.

Even nominally "good" people (Rubio) are corrupted and destroyed by Trump.

He issues orders to commit unthinkable evil, and subordinates comply, self debasing, or they're out.
