Breaking news: The IRS plans to eliminate nearly a quarter of its workforce in layoffs starting Friday, according to records obtained by The Post and people familiar with the plans, shedding roughly 20,000 jobs as part of plans from President Trump and Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service.
