Epstein Survivor Jess Michaels: I'm feeling strangely validated. Because in plain sight, and with even with an act of Congress, we're seeing the exact same delays, negligence, corruption, incompetence that we've seen consistently and have been advocating about. They've actually proved our point.

Government: get off social media and go outside
Also the government: no! Not like that!
The increasing capitalisation of third spaces, the social media ban, disconnect from public sentiment around current affairs in other places atm, and boredom. So much boredom

If the last three days demonstrate one thing, it's that the right (via the media) controls the narrative in this country.

Now we live in a city that has experienced a racially targeted mass-casualty terror attack. There is a pervasive sadness and sense of something lost. The fall-out so far has been predictable and depressing. We'd prefer the focus to be on grief and reflection, not blame, but that's not how it goes.

Dear LinkdIn. I don’t need your encouragement. I only signed up to find one organisation I needed to contact. I don’t need Premium. I don’t want to connect with people I might know there. I don’t care who is searching for me. I’m sorry. I never meant to join. It was all a mistake.

With the age verification requirements in place in Australia now, here's a reminder that uploading your ID to the internet is a bad idea as it can and will inevitably get hacked and stolen.

Politicians have no clue about cybersecurity, nor do they care.

We see the same with so many issues from commentary on climate to crime to immigration - and so much more!
