By "trouble makers", do you mean police or other state actors or zionists? In my experience protests only get violent when police start it. I think they may want a fight in Sydney as a pretext for more draconian measures.

I am honestly reeling that he refused a meeting with Noongar elders on their own Country after a terror event. The comparisons write themselves, but this is an objective wrong on its own terms. The IED thrown on 26 Jan in Boorloo is actually designated, yes belatedly, by the colony itself.

Can’t recall seeing a greater divide between the mainstream political/media class (same thing) and the Australian people - than over this Herzog visit.

Yes, stay in your lane, stay composed and peaceful. Together we will beat this, but it is going to take time and we need to show that we are the bigger people, we are resilient, we are strong and we are NOT GOING TO GIVE UP.

If you are planning to go to one of the many protests on Monday - as I am - I am more anxious about this one than any other protest I’ve ever attended.

I’ve no doubt there will be troublemakers provoking a reaction.

Please everyone - stay calm, don’t react - & be safe #auspol

What am I missing?

I thought protesting a person who represents a state committing a genocide on a race of people - where upwards of 70,000 have been deliberately murdered - and many more maimed - is one of the most Australian things you could do.

What am I missing? #auspol

I don’t know about his colleagues but as a FORMER Labor voter I just cannot believe Albo would invite Herzog to Australia, it’s beyond me.
Herzog’s visit may be Albanese’s most flawed decision - and he’s made a few.

Bet his colleagues are furious #auspol

Here's a new one for The Point -> Aus plans to have a central role at COP31 pushing for a fossil phaseout.

But that statement came at a time when a remarkable new record was hit, which I found in some government data.........go watch, or read -->>>

Of course any head of state should be safe while visiting Aust.

I don’t agree with his invitation, his actions - but while here of course he should be safe.

There’s been little to no violence for the many pro-Palestinian protests - no reason to expect that to change #auspol #nswpol
