The government is passing the Employment Bill, giving workers access to sick pay for day one - Kemi Badenoch is calling for the removal of the right to strike. Anyone claiming Labour and the Tories are all the same clearly aren't paying attention #PMQs

Genuinely impressed with the front of the Tories to accuse anyone else of "spend now, tax later" when they literally did just that in government - leaving a £22 billion black hole! www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

So we’re at the saving track by cutting track stage of the project now
UPDATE: Grand Slam Track has shifted its schedule for its upcoming meet in Philadelphia from three days of racing to two. The Philadelphia Slam will still take place at Franklin Field, but only on May 31st and June 1st. 📆

Pretty bleak to hear the Tory Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions smear mental health conditions as 'the every day ups and down of life'. Thought we'd moved on from this sort of stigmatising years ago

Could the BBC please, please, please set up a ‘dog attack news alert’ separate from their main news alerts that I can opt out of. I really don’t need my phone buzzing every time someone is killed or injured by a dog in the UK

Whatever it is that Trump will "deliver" for Ukraine, it is not peace, and it is not just.
Trump calls Zelensky “a dictator without elections” having lauded Putin, a man who hasn’t had a free or fair election in years and who has prevented elections in Ukraine because he invaded.

Really fun morning run yesterday at the Love Welwyn Garden City 10k. Took over a minute off my PB and (unbeknown to me at the time) was running in a field that included EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt! Can now say I'm faster than Ian Beale over 10k!

I see we're adding 'not being a bully' and 'not sexually harassing people' to the list of things that are 'woke' 🙄https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/farage-reform-mp-bullying-tories-b2664927.html
Nigel Farage refuses to take ‘woke’ anti-bullying training for MPs
Nigel Farage’s spokesman said he has ‘not taken part in “Behaviour Code Awareness Training” and has no intention of engaging with this woke DEI scheme’

Keely would be a fully deserving winner - incredible year. Torn between voting for her or Dame Sarah Storey. Cannot get my head round the fact that she has won a Paralympic medal at every games since 1992 and think that achievement deserves way more recognition that it currently has.
At the Paris Olympics, Keely Hodgkinson became only the third British female to win a gold medal over 800m at the Games 🥇

After a truly spectacular season, she's now nominated for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 🇬🇧

Suspect the vast majority of parents would do the same in Biden’s position. If I was American my issue would be with a system that gives Presidents the unchecked power to do this rather than with Biden for protecting his son.

Super evening last night watching the Lionesses - would have been great had they won but still a very decent effort - particularly in defence!

Sorry but track & field doesn’t need saving. Look at the Olympics & last World Championship, both the sporting spectacle & fans in the stadium, the annual sell out crowds at the London Stadium, the number of genuine stars in the sport atm? Could it be better? sure but saved? Nah - it's already great

Important, skilled work being replaced by AI :( Hope it’s made clear if and when this technology is used so I can give these books a wide berth.
