This was the r/fantasy sale this year. Gotta love that fantasy readers are so much more open to reading indie books than the SF subs that routinely shun indie works in favor of reading DUNE for the 93rd time or Andy Weir for the 32nd.

Stayed up late (But still in bed long before the year rolled over) to finish Stranger Things.

Endings suck. They're hard to do. Harder to do well.

This one was as good as I coulda hoped for. Bittersweet, gave everyone a nice "what's next" glimpse.

I think they stuck the landing.

President Trump's claims that Colorado's elections are rigged force Republicans like Rep Gabe Evans into a tough choice:

1) Embrace the false claim and alienate swing voters
2) Reject the false claim and anger Trump/MAGA base
3) Avoid any media outlet/forum that will ask

GOP Rep Lauren Boebert is OK with Trump punishing Colorado over immigration, climate research, or Tina Peters. Just not her district's project.

"These are people who overwhelmingly voted for President Trump," Boebert told me. "These are not the people who should be attacked"

Not really a resolution person. I haven't made one since maybe highschool, which is also the last time I stayed up for midnight, LOL.

That said. the closes I'm getting to a resolution this year is that I'm refocusing on encouraging readers to buy direct from authors. Myself included.

Happy new year. May 2026 be filled with UBI, the eradication of billionaire wealth and power, death to AI, and a surge in socialists achieving positions in governments.

Dang, snuck up on me. Thought my pen was just crapping out, but turns out, it was empty. I didn't think it'd been enough time, but realized this was my 3rd notebook.

New refills ordered direct from maker.

It wasn’t just the Republican district attorney who supported the prosecution of Peters, all 3 GOP Mesa County (Co.) Commissioners at the time supported the prosecution.

In August 2024, Peters was convicted of 7 charges, including four felonies. 1/3

1/ Tina Peters is in prison for criminally breaching election security, not for exposing fraud. No court, audit, or investigation found widespread voter fraud in Colorado. Mail-in voting in Colorado has existed for years, is used by voters across parties, and has been upheld by courts.

Might win the award for most ominous error message. Trying to renew my driver license online and got this.

Called and she was like, "well you may have an outstanding fine from out of state or it's a glitch."

"You're in luck. It's a glitch, but you still have to go into the local office"

yay me

Relocating Space Command
Denying disaster funding for wildfires and floods
Planning to dismantle NCAR
DOJ investigation of Colorado's prisons

Electricians will be back tomorrow. The garage end of the steel cable was sheered right off. Didn't notice until today that the end on the house was frayed down to one strand.

They're picking up a new cable in the morning.

Plus side. Hot water heater is in and working.

I will never be able to forgive South African born Elon Musk for the damage he & DOGE did to our government. He is clearly a racist elitist who does not care about less fortunate people.

I will therefore never buy a Tesla or any other product from a Musk company.
