Five years ago, the New Wave made a splash in their brief run as a superhero team. One timeskip later, the beloved superpowered quartet and the madcap metropolis they call home are changing. BGN is playing the sequel to their Masks campaign in Mutants and Masterminds!

Big Gay Nerds 315: Welcome Back to Halcyon (Mutants & Masterminds 1.1)
Has it really been five years already? Well it has been for our favorite quartet of superheroes! Of course, a lot can change in that time. An unstable lab-brat can become an interstellar savior, a mis

The second episode (in the fourth arc, but they're all fairly standalone) just went live, and it's even better than the first.

17. Dueling Fops of Vindamere is a Greg Stolze game about awful courtiers with swords. It's heavy on procedural generation, so that although each game follows the same broad outline the way it all breaks out is wildly different each time. It's also very funny.

4. As a segue from ninjas, here's Shinobigami, a PvP game where everyone is ninjas competing for some prize or other. The book contains an excellent replay that shows you how it works (and is very funny in places) and Big Gay Nerds podcast is on their fourth arc of it as I write (also very funny).

This doesn't work, you have to type about:config in the search bar and flag browser.ml.chat.enabled to false.

If you use Firefox:

Go into Settings, in the search bar type "Sidebar" and select "Show Sidebar." At the bottom of the sidebar, click "Customize Sidebar" (the little gear icon) and un-check the "AI Chatbot" box.

when attempting to take action on a problem, you may be tempted to treat anyone you speak to at a company like the enemy

but sometimes, the reality is that you have allies everywhere, and you are empowering them to act

raise your troubles; they are ammunition for good people

Called Visa today. The phone operator was a self-described gamer. When I said I had a complaint about ‘policy’ he immediately knew what it was about, told me the call was recorded, said there was an extremely large volume of calls about the issue and he hopes that it will make a difference

A little positive comment on an indie creator's work can be the difference between someone having a good day and a bad one. Trust me. All it takes is one kind word or two to keep someone going.

Indie comics ain't easy. Working very hard to make something as well as you possibly can that you know only a few people outside of yourself care about can be quite lonely, and often feels almost like a folly.

Please let indie creators know you enjoy their work, it really helps.

We need to teach people the difference between being uncomfortable and being unsafe. Because the discomfort of the safest people is endangering the most vulnerable, all day every day.

things I would do if you're a nsfw/kink creative *now* because I've been eerily prescient about every single wave:

a) get a personal site with your own domain you own. *now*. not a carrd or third party squarespace. not next week. *now*. get it online with ugly-ass html but get your links there.

IF you decide to contact these companies, be it phone, email, or whatever, be polite and friendly. The customer service people are not responsible for their business' policies, and they deal with enough shit as is.
