Bottom: the onion out meal kit company thought was fine for a recipe that needs a lot of onion. Top, a normal yellow onion (half I used the rest yesterday) from our grocery store. Meal kit company can't figure out why I rarely order a box anymore.

Both of our DIL are beautiful wrappers, the gifts they send are works of art. My goal is for none of the present to be visible and to not use TOO much tape. 🤣

First year treating myself to the Missouri Star Quilt Company advent calendar and it is SO GOOD. I already have TWO projects to start and opened up a beautiful quilt themed mug today. Most non food advent calendars (and many food) are literally just samples and way overpriced. This one? NOT THAT.

I am disappointed in Pilot. I adore their VPs. I have collected 2 of the raden and a few others. They are SOLID utterly reliable pens built like tanks that I travel with a lot. So I bought the 20th anniversary ed new (gasp) and... It is half the weight of the others & clanks when activated. 😞🤦♀️

I only light all the big pillars in the fireplace for holidays and the critters are always INTRIGUED (hearthstone is cracked so can't use it for an actual fire. But enough pillars is very fun.)

Do you want to make the yummiest, most buttery rolls ever? I give you my great-great aunt Gay McBeth's (is that not the best name?) Butter Egg rolls. As written out by my mother. They are saturated w butter and so good. Grandma rolled a bit of chocolate into them randomly as a surprise.

I ordered a 64 oz water bottle to use for my colonoscopy prep (cause I have NOTHING in the house that big to mix the parts in accurately) and I am not sure how I feel about the cheery phrases in this particular instance... 😱🤪🙄

I had someone asking about size difference between M400 and M600 Pelikans and didn't have a 600 to show at the time but NOW I DO! (SQUEEEE) so here ya go. 200, 400, 600 top to bottom. And nib size comparison. 400/600 nibs ARE swappable I find they all fit but notice that 400 (80s) is..

Sure it is USUALLY wet and cold and gross here in the winter but sometimes it is absolutely *magical.* Thanks to my barnmate this morning for capturing Bear and I working out in the fog and sunshine.

I have a beautiful collection of crystal I collected over the years (Grandma taught me to buy the really good stuff cheap and then use it daily) and since I don't drink anymore now it holds fresh apple cider. Use the good stuff in unexpected ways, you are worth it. (Estate sales folks!)

First ride for we two since I had surgery and he tore his suspensory (while I was in surgery bc apparently he wanted to rehab with me). He was so eager to go for a ride he basically snatched the bit from me. 😂😍

Ritual is so important and it doesn't have to be huge. For me swapping out my perfumes as the seasons change is a way to slow down, be intentional, pay attention to the world around me changing. Ritual can be that simple and that grounding. (And fall perfumes are my favorite, all warmth and spice.)
