Those in power absolutely detest accountability, why would you wait for them to save you from the themselves?
It’s tempting to say if billionaires actually cared about the future of the world or democracy they could fund completely independent and trustworthy journalism for a hundred years but if that’s where we’re at we’re already pretty fucked

christ, man, how many times a month does this happen with the NYT? because it happens often *enough* that it’s an extremely well documented phenonmenon by now. at some point, and that point is long in our rearview mirror, one has to assume that it’s deliberate and intentional.
NYT leads this piece with Natalie Brumfield, who agrees with the state supreme court’s ruling, and she’s the only woman quoted who is supportive.

Please stop using AI, even just for your YouTube headers and blog posts and stuff. Please. It looks generic and shit at best. It doesn't make you look professional. Quite the opposite.
