I feel like agents should have to present themselves according to the same standards they hold authors to. I should know what you’re looking for in the first sentence. And the STAKES! What are THE STAKES Jennifer?? I don’t care where you got your BA, tell me which shelves you can get my books on.

Ive always found it awkward to tell ppl I’m a writer, I find either people think it’s a fancy way of saying “unemployed dead weight” or that I’m bragging and think I’m better than them. No matter which direction they are thinking though, I have yet to be asked what my books are about 🫠

Seriously, made a post the other day about not moralizing hating a book that you didn’t like for highly specific personal reasons and it took less than an hour for someone to be like “YOU MEAN NAZI STUFF?? HOW DARE YOU!!” 🙈
