Last week, staff at Oxford Botanic Garden collected a whopping 29 crates of apples 🍎

The harvest will be donated to Oxford Food Hub, who will share them with 200 charities and community groups.

New @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social paper #SLPeeps on conducting research case studies.

Will likely interest #ClinAcSLTs (@clinacslt.bsky.social) and #BskySpeechies 🦋
trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social
Ooh - my new paper on case study is out! What’s a case study, how do you do one, how do you spot a good one? Includes niche examples like the REF impact case study (though it’s mainly about research case studies).

Calling all researchers and educators📣 This new RMR by @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social on how to conduct effective case studies, offers guidance for using them for learning & decision-making.

Essential reading for robust research!

Excellent @naplic.bsky.social meeting of professionals interested in #DevLangDis in adulthood. Thanks @wordaware.bsky.social & @sieversslt.bsky.social 👏 Bringing together clinical and research discussions, with the aim of supporting adults with #DLD. Next meeting 30th Jan 2026 #BskySpeechies 🦋

DLD is not something that people grow out of, and in adulthood it can continue to have significant impacts. Especially when unsupported.
Rachel Sievers summarised her observations from her work with adults with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
We need services and awareness!

DLD makes things complicated. Others can't see it, but yet it impacts every day for people with DLD (Developmental Language Disorder).
So we need way more people to know about DLD. And that's where you come in. Join us on Friday Oct 17 2025. Theme: you can't see DLD. radld.org

Great to meet campaigners at today’s #SEND rally in Parliament Square ahead of the debate this afternoon.

We’re calling for urgent, genuine reform so every child with SEND gets the support they need.

This set of co-produced priority research questions - should help people to target their applications for funding. It took me 4 years to gain funding! Hopefully a cohesive evidence base, fit to support people with #DevLangDis across the lifespan, can now be built 👏

Yes - Research Priority 7! Because it’s relevant to explore life stories and work histories across education, training and work, and to consider literacy, co-occurrence and mental health - this #DevLangDis #SLPhD has relevance to many of the Top Ten priorities. #DLDAtWork #BSkySpeechies 🦋
