Film Screening With Discussion | Thabyay: Creative Resistance in Myanmar Film Screening With Discussion | 12 December 2025 | 12:00h - 14:00h at HTWG, Lecture Hall L007 (Cinema). Thabyay: Creative Resistance in Myanmar follows four democracy revolutionaries who are finding creative means to fight against the military junta. Some take up arms while struggling to stay true to their commitment to non-violence, while others engage in “artivism,” using music, poetry and art to bring about a peaceful, free, democratic and truly inclusive future for all people in Myanmar. Following the film screening, there will be a discussion with Susanna Hla Hla Soe and Nickey Diamond (PhD candidate, University of Konstanz). The event is organized by the working group Social and Political Anthropology in cooperation with the International Management Asia-Europe program of HTWG Konstanz.

Senkultgz: die Debatte um eine Veranstaltung mit dem irritierenden und missverständlichen Titel „Decolonize Christmas“ hat zu Aufregung und Verletzungen von Menschen geführt, die so nicht hingenommen werden können. Der Vorwurf Weihnachten abschaffen zu wollen, geht völlig an den Inhalten der Veranstaltung vorbei. Dennoch hat der zuständige Verein Konsequenzen gezogen und die Veranstaltung aus dem Programm genommen. Als gläubige Christin möchte ich mich von derartigen Schlagworten und missverständlichen Titeln von Veranstaltungen klar und deutlich distanzieren…

Lese manchmal, was so im Fernsehen kommt. Und bin froh, dass ich keins habe. Genauso geht das mit #AI: es ist nicht unumgänglich. Verweigern, deinstallieren, aktiv umgehen ist möglich. Selbst denken und sich weniger aufregen müssen. Beängstigend aber, dass sich Millionen dem jeden Tag aussetzen #ÖRR

Publikationen wie diese kommen wissenschaftlich daher, werfen anderen Aktivismus vor und sind selbst aktivistisch, aber zutiefst unpolitisch. Das ist Kritik ohne Grundlage und in einem Vakuum in dem es weder Geschichte noch Verantwortung für die Zukunft gibt.

Key findings: 45% of all AI answers had at least one significant issue. 31% of responses showed serious sourcing problems – missing, misleading, or incorrect attributions. 20% contained major accuracy issues, including hallucinated details and outdated information. Gemini performed worst with significant issues in 76% of responses, more than double the other assistants, largely due to its poor sourcing performance. Comparison between the BBC’s results earlier this year and this study show some improvements but still high levels of errors.
