Nat Guard folk are nurses and carpenters and farmers and construction workers who answer their nation’s call. They did not sign up for this type of use. We must bring them home.
Disgusted to hear of the targeted shooting of National Guard members in DC today. All Americans should unite in condemning and rejecting this violence. Sending prayers to these victims and their families, and thankful to the responders who acted so quickly.

The precursor to MMWR began in 1878 to address emerging public health threats rapidly.
We are not “great” without it. We are vulnerable to threats from sporadic foodborne illness to bioterrorism.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

If we do run the table this cycle, we still may not have time to stabilize the state budget for the worst of the Medicaid cuts. If the republican is left at AG, we won’t even fight for it. We have to vote blue all the way down the ballot. Early voting open now. Take an ID.
Trump’s Medicaid cuts are already causing healthcare clinics to close and overwhelming others that provide care to Virginians who need it most.
Our AG should be fighting back against these cuts and delivering for rural Virginians, not enabling Trump.
