I think if you draw smut you’re inherently a type of activist to a degree, and it’s why I’m sort of uncomfortable around the nsfw artists who claim that they just aren’t “interested” in politics.

I know it's a problem in all areas of discourse, but it never ceases to amaze me how people with NO experience with sex work, no relevant studies, no advocacy work, haven't given it a moment's thought in their lives are somehow convinced they know what's best for sex workers.

If you want to push back against censorship, here’s some actions to take. Censoring *yourself* is not the way. Please listen to those who are most affected (nsfw artists) and what they’re asking us to do which is not to be silent!

You can't defend gore, violent, gruesome media without defending sex and erotic media. Both go hand in hand, there's eroticism in the grotesque, theres horror in the sensual. Your "purity" about sex won't save you if you think making war is better than making love

I think that pornographic and profane art deserves to exist without any sort of addendum that the real victims are "innocent" lgbtq+ people caught in the crossfire. I think that sex is normal and beautiful and also gross and should not be banned, barred, or persecuted. that's my take.
