i feel like this is accurate.
the dog caught the car then just stopped. didn't even really fight back. did nothing to modify the car (this metaphor is running thin).
it feels like we really did just declare post-history, racism defeated, and, so to say, go to brunch, when we needed system change.

is that like when a car has a sudden correction when it hits a building at 80 mph

i feel like the inland empire deserves (derogatory) its own cultural region

This is the most accurate depiction of the Midwest to date. Wichita has always felt like the last Midwest city while also being the first plains city.

Every year, 12 million girls are married before the age of 18, that is one girl every three seconds. Globally, more than 640 million women alive today were married as children. These marriages are rarely a matter of choice. Instead, they often reflect entrenched gender inequality and poverty.

um.
do (or do not if you value mental health) look into how the texas rangers got their start.

This has nothing to do with crime. This is an attempt to crush political dissent.

Never before, in our entire 250 year history, has the military or immigration agents been used like this. It's dystopian, illegal, and it should stop.

i now hope i live long enough to see this time period reflected in history books.

i have several uncles who would probably volunteer if they weren't like 70. hell, during floyd protests my trans hispanic dad was doing police ride alongs and going to their shooting ranges. i think she would oppose ice though.
i guess my family is kinda fucked up.
just-slothlike.bsky.social
it would surprise people how many hispanic citizens resent migrants and latin american governments.
i'm half hispanic, most of my family is hispanic, and most of them are conservative. it is unfortunately common.
if republicans were smarter and not racist asshats they could easily get their votes.

i mean, i don't think my posts are that bad/annoying... still trying to minimize political posting but meh it's really the stuff i care most about.

this was a pc where the customer dropped off most of the parts.
so anyway that's what i do all day most of the time. i also do repairs and diagnostics, work on laptops, some electronics, but i've been shifted mostly to custom builds (we have 5 employees and i'm the pc person).

system is a 9950x3d, a 5090 on rog crosshair x870e hero, 64 gb ddr5-6000, 1300w edge psu. the pain was the case, but i crammed it all in there.
the lian li wireless components are a blessing. i hate control boxes. they save so much cable mess/management. the edge psu with its usb 2.0 hub, also good.

i always wondered what kind of machine my body is.
apparently it is one that turns piles of parts into computers.
i'm not terribly pleased with that, it's not what i want to do, but i'm good at it?
this fella was a bit annoying though. getting that aio in with the board's vrm shield was bleh.
fancy little gaming pc with lots of pretty rainbow rgb.

my whitest trait (other than my skin pigmentation/lack thereof) is that i enjoy mayonnaise.
not, like, gobs of it, but it gives a nice little tart flavor that pairs well with mustard on a cold sandwich or something, or even mixed with cold shredded chicken.

He hasn't signed the other bills yet, but he still has days to do so
This headline is misleading for not mentioning that.

The gender education veto is bad, but far from the most important trans rights bill on his desk.

There's still time to contact Newsom for the rest!
