Fan of science, education, the 1st amendment, truth (via data) & empathy. Environmental/animal ethics, health advocacy, books, gardening, research & justice motivate me.
I'm furious about the dismantling of our USA & the hostility toward POC & US allies.

This is so true. We are in this purgatory because the Democrats refused to read the room when Trump ran the first time. People are tired of milk-toast establishment politicians not wanting to make anyone angry. We are angry at the lack of backbone! Trash the letters and take a stand, Dem leadership!
Trump could declare himself Emperor and Schumer and Jeffries would politely post on X that they’re “disappointed.”

Hundreds of billions of dollars for an illegal war that no one wants is not what I thought people meant when they chanted "America first." That will not bring down the prices of healthcare or (that old-fashioned term) "groceries" and the only real jobs it could create are the ones that can kill you.
How Much Would a US Invasion of Venezuela Cost?
It is hard to calculate the cost of a US invasion of Venezuela—but if past wars are any guideline, a conservative estimate would be hundreds of billions of dollars.

Our Choice: a government for and by the people or a government for and by the ZuckerMusks.

The latter will not allow the former.
How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:

1. Break up corporate monopolies
2. Continue building union power
3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

Let’s keep working to unrig the system.

Still struggling with the unexpected loss of Rob Reiner. Maybe it's the loss of a brilliant director, the loss of a true humanitarian when we need more humanity, or the tragedy when we've lost so much. Near the top of my list is grief that the world will see no more of his tender-takes & joy of life

Dear Canada, on behalf of your kids, please sue the White House for damaging misuse of your friendly turtle. It is the only language, other than bribes, they understand. (I suspect we have attorneys here that would help.)

Any ICE employees that take umbrage at being seen as/called the gestapo need to realize the public is seeing this sort of treatment of regular citizens everyday. When even a member of congress is assaulted, how can people not draw parallels? Your families will be ashamed--if not today, then soon.
#GVerse 🚨 #BreakingNews: ICE/Border Patrol just illegally pepper-sprayed a sitting member of congress in Tucson, Arizona.
