I love that this game exists. It's crazy to me how well the Pokemon battle system can translate to real-time.
I want the turn-based games to keep existing to but this game is compelling. Pokemon Unite vibes but more true to the turn-based games.

As someone whose literal job is to be an advocate for Xbox as a platform, it would be really, really nice to not feel like I'm constantly fighting an uphill battle.

I am still figuring out logistics (and Rami has kindly offered to help a lil!), but I’ve been putting together a means for game devs to present GDC-style ‘talks’ on @playwatchlisten.bsky.social. When it’s public, devs will be able to submit a topic for consideration, and will be paid for their time!
As GDC talk applications have opened, I want to politely remind you that GDC remains one of the most inaccessible, unfairly expensive, and dangerous for-profit game industry events out there - and that offering your labour for free to it just adds value that pressures people into going needlessly.

This is why it kinda bugs me when people refer to this as a "filibuster". A filibuster (at least IMHO) is specifically when you do pointless and mundane things purely to waste time, like read the dictionary or Green Eggs and Ham.
That's not what this was; this was a poignant 25-hour speech.
