I don’t really eat cereal anymore but sometimes when I’m shopping I’ll take a little stroll down that aisle just to see what’s going on these days

A super and simple idea x
Every time I hear the business news on morning Ireland I wonder why we can’t have a three minute Arts update before or after. Imagine the potential impact: shows opening this week, books being published, what’s in cinemas. Read a poem! It might… bring joy? And support thousands of jobs and the like

This dog was going nuts in the shop, really loud, and the owner (a woman about my age) calmly went ‘nah, stop barking like that mate’ and the dog INSTANTLY did, and remained quiet. I didn’t know you could just appeal to their basic decency.

Judge Colm Roberts said they were “acting like maggots.” 🪱 Conjures all manner of carry on in the Centra car park that afternoon.

Acting the maggot, surely?

The only bad thing about Bluesky: it's now as addictive as Twitter was in, say, 2010. I'd forgotten how much time I can fanny away somewhere silly and upbeat. I hope my editor isn't on here yet.

I’m only 24 hours here but, so far, it’s a delight. ✨
Bluesky is like walking into your local pub on Christmas Eve and spotting everyone who's home for the holidays.

The problem with the #UpFront debate was that there weren’t enough leaders on stage. I think we should have all 160 TDs in three times a week for debates. Perhaps in some kind of chamber
