A lot of bad out there. Look for the helpers and help them.
A drawn black and white depiction of Fred Rogers bearing greying hair, bushy brows, sweater and tie, and warm smile.

Written by Fred Rogers | © 1968 Fred M. Rogers

What do you do with the mad that you feel
When you feel so mad you could bite?
When the whole wide world seems oh, so wrong...
And nothing you do seems very right?

What do you do? Do you punch a bag?
Do you pound some clay or some dough?
Do you round up friends for a game of tag?
Or see how fast you go?

It's great to be able to stop
When you've planned a thing that's wrong,
And be able to do something else instead
And think
this song:

I can stop when I want to
Can stop when I wish
I can stop, stop, stop any time.
And what a good feeling to feel like this
And know that the feeling is really mine.
Know that there's something deep inside
That helps us become what we can.
For a kid can be someday a woman
And a kid can be someday a man.

My biggest regret in forgetting my LinkedIn credentials is not being able to easily delete the account.

Otherwise all upside, really.

Deleted my LinkedIn and Academia dot edu accounts yesterday. Not going to feed myself to their AI theft machines either.

I imagine, like toupes, you only "See" badly done jobs. Well done hair will still look good because they're still well done.

I don't think this model is true. But it's interesting to consider how oppressed groups can still perpetuate the oppression of a smaller subset or any group they don't consider as their main concern.

Three Body Problem by Liu Cixin is messing me up. The whole story feels like 1984 boots on faces until the end of time but that's just multiplication. There's division too.

It's fractal how within each face there is a boot on a smaller face, encompassing each boot is another face.

"I wonder what controversy Blacksky will have," people are saying, and my forecast is that the queerphobia and/or misogynoir is gonna stick in someone's throats, perhaps many someones, eventually coming to a head.

Good to know. It is depressing, but it is expected that every new place will have ingrained transphobia.

I think they learned they have more fun playing the bad guys as kids and that fucked a lot of people's brains up.

They develop an addiction to spite.

I think it’s very telling that most of these people have drawn their bigotry line in the sand about AI but have never posted about ICE or Gaza.

ken paxton now requires all decorations to be the most racist or else he will send an undercover officer to your house.

Like yeah, fucking put some old Victorian clothes on them. Or some pirate clothes. Anything to show it's not fucking racist shit. Hang like a 2 headed person or a vampire or something. There are OPTIONS.

You are correct, and you should say this.

I feel like normals Blacksky is still super transphobic towards trans women in my experience. I’ve gotten sir’d into hell there but haven’t posted into the nsfw version much. Maybe I should start.

They are afraid to eat that humble pie. There are documented trends for minority groups to be against any deviance with that resistance associated with survival practices.

I think it's "don't wear hoodies" extrapolated to gender and sexuality.

I still think it's an unjust way of thinking.

My wife told me Ispend a lot of energy looking at people and things and trying to see them true.

That's what folks want labelers to do. Show them who people are without having to look for themselves.

Groups are great for finding solidarity but we still gotta look and see people to know them.

Reuters photographer Jonathan Ernst noticed that Bondi flipped open a file during the Senate hearing and he zoomed in.

Inside were her crib notes for attacking the senators.

So this is funny.
The administration just issued a rule slashing foreign agricultural worker wages. And to justify it, in a public filing, Trump's Labor Department alleges that Trump's immigration enforcement has devastated the Ag workforce and caused a "risk of supply shock-induced food shortages."
Trump Labor Department Says His Immigration Raids Are Causing a Food Crisis
In a filing in the Federal Register, the Labor Department argues there are “immediate dangers to the American food supply” due to a lack of migrant agricultural workers.
