America has deindustrialized so much they can't even manufacture consent
I still can't believe they're trying to make a war happen out of thin air. Not just their abrogation of Congress's role in formally declaring a war -- that's been a slippery slope for decades -- but their total unwillingness even to go through the motions of drumming up public support.

Coding agents are horrendous at database design. It's quite literally building a method to DDoS it's own database from the frontend / app side

You're reviewing the postgresql commands the AI is writing before you execute them on your production database, right? ... right?

Building a memory palace in a mind without a mind’s eye (aphantasia) feels like pinning a memory object to the feeling of a front door and - oh wait, there’s 7 doors now. Where isn’t the memory object and maybe I should walk through the corridors backward upside down to recall the linear memory?

2 weeks in and I detest Liquid Glass even more than the initial novelty factor. It’s getting in the way of smooth UX on my phone multiple times a day

If I had a dollar for every novel WebKit bug (Apple Safari web browser) I've found building this reader engine, I would have 3 dollars, which seems like a lot for a premiere product from a trillion dollar company...

Chinese companies will low key keep training on Nvidia/CUDA architecture while using domestic chips for inference
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says the company’s market share (for high end chips) in China has plummeted from 95% to zero because of U.S. export curbs, calling the policy a strategic mistake that hurts American interests.

China has been rapidly pushing to develop its own domestic alternatives.
