I’ve been listening to Amy Poehler’s podcast, “Good Hang” during holiday prep and it’s a a damn delight.

Spent the evening prepping for Christmas baking. Final ingredients purchased. Mise en place is done for 7 kinds of cookies, including 4 lbs of butter and 2 dozen eggs. Tomorrow and Tuesday are baking days!

yesterday when I went to work at 7:30am it was 29° with a windchill of 17°.
At 10pm last night it was 57°.
This morning it was snowing sideways (30mph wind) and 30°.
Right now the windchill is 8°

Cleveland is used to crazy weather but this is just too much.

Is a single person surprised by this? No
Will they face any consequences? Also no

Our little town has an odd trash collection system (workers in buggies come down the driveway to pick up trash from back and side yards... you don't take cans to the street). One of the most consistently entertaining topics on the neiborhood FB is newcomers losing their minds over trash collection

Love that my unelected Senator‘s response to the affordability crisis is to tell Ohioans to just “earn more”.

ultimately, no one even grieved Charlie Kirk. he was just another thing for the worst people on earth to get outraged over. and when the outrage of real events wasn't enough, they invented new ones.

not even his wife saw his death as anything other than an opportunity.
my read is they were trying to whip up the usual frenzy, but then the effort got blown up by Candace Owens saying The Jews did it
It’s kind of incredible how little has been published about this guy and how little conservatives seem to care. Did people just forget these people were screeching for civil war when they thought he was a liberal?

Plot twist... we got a 2017 Subaru Legacy that was priced between the other 2. 💸
Do I go for the cheapest (both price and insurance) for a 15-year-old Nissan Rogue or spend more for a 6-year-old Subaru Outback? Or do I just kick the decision to January?

A few years ago, Ohio voters legalized recreational marijuana with specific protections for people who use it. The GOP supermajority in our legislature just rolled back most of what the voters approved.

The GOP absolutely hates the people

This is the kind of thing I would fund if I won the lottery. I have a whole plan in place.
For the first time a U.S. county is making their guaranteed income program permanent.

The Cook County Board of Commissioners has unanimously approved $7.5 million to continue its guaranteed income program.

Each month over 3,000 households will get an unconditional $500.
