The highest calling of journalism isn’t to tell two sides of a story.

The highest calling of journalism is to tell the truth.

And acting like a stenographer is a betrayal of your audience.
Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

I don’t know, man…I think Dems should refuse to cooperate on anything except impeachment at this point. Fundamental violations of constitutional law are happening every damn day. Any business conducted under this criminal regime should take a backseat to removing the regime.

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

I love this a lot. Community care is beautiful.
Someone bought a bunch of the turkeys and hams at our local grocery in town and told the manager to make them available for free to folks that need them. There’s a whole freezer case with a sign on it that just says “If you need one take one, if you don’t then leave it for someone else.”

Why has this disappeared from the headlines?

The genocide never ended — and our government is still complicit.
