For promo, I'll stick with ghosts and go with my debut novella, A Survivor's Eye.

Imagine a haunted house but with the ghosts in your thoughts, threatening to take control.

Promo image for A Survivor's Eye depicting the cover (a pale and haunted face, bleached of humanity, drowning in a sea of smoke. Two desperate handprints pressed against the whites of their eyes, trying to escape), on a tablet which itself hovers above thick blue smoke. The accompanying text reads; "There's more to life than survival. Available now"

The moment you enter the graveyard
The scrape of ancient stone shadows your ears
Odd, you think, to hear such noise in the dead of night that most fears
A quick peek around a tombstone makes the whole thing clear
You’re not the only one with a shovel here.

Come forth, Baron Crescendo! Let your guitar split the sky open, for more wraiths to dazzle us!

Behold, a note from him, for you!

“The moment you entered the graveyard, the scrape of ancient stone shadowed your ears.”

Finish it! With word of rhyme, before we dance to the end!

#HorrorWritersChat
Art by Jelle Husson, featuring a haunted monastery of many sharp-tipped towers scraping at the midnight sky. The largest is in the centre of the structure’s roof, whose walls are painted white. The monastery is located above a hilly terrain of dark stone and dark green moss. A stony, twisting road leads to the monastery.

Question Four

There he is! Baron Crescendo! Oh how the skies split open to his guitar, how more of us fly in the air! And look, a note from him, just for you!

“The moment you entered the graveyard, the scrape of ancient stone shadowed your ears.”

Well? Go on! Word or rhyme, continue his Muse!

Well, it's 9pm. Time to turn off the screen and do something else.
Crocheting most likely.

I'm mostly for folkloric, pissed-off, banshee kind of ghosts.
The "ghost leaving clues to help get peace or solve the murder" doesn't (generally) do it for me.
I'd like the ghost to be the villain

Listen to the Symposium’s finest vocalist, as their tenor bends the living into unnatural angles and swivels them into the air! Tell us, what ghosts do you prefer? Of the folkloric tradition, or those invented by authors? And why?

The monastery is located above a hilly terrain of dark stone and dark green moss. A stony, twisting road leads to the monastery.

It is always a delight to see our violinists perform! How the living bend their splintering bones as they float above us all! Tell us, our ghostly compatriots – which of us are better? Of the folkloric kind? Or invented by our shadowy creators?

As much as I love unique ghost designs by authors, I love ghost folktales even more. They have so much history in them, especially between generations. So much can be told about a community by simply how they're treating the (dis)honoured dead.

Greetings! For I am your conductor.

I am Gree, writer of body, psychological, and religious horror for the Bloodied Rose: Verses of Midnight setting, hailing from the Czech Republic!

As for my own visage, it is evident on my own profile picture 😈

Art of Roberto Ferras, featuring a hooded wraith with a human-shaped skull. Smaller, spectral trails with skull-shaped faces flow around it. It has a ball and chain on one wrist, and a short sword on the other. Behind it is a suitably Gothic, spooky architecture, coloured in red at the bottom, and baleful green at the top.

Hi. I'm Blair. Currently in VT hunkering down from the storm that is the current USA. I write comic books, and as of late, mostly horror comics.

Hm. I wear a half-mask like the Phantom of the Opera, not to hide scarring, but to hide the darker nature of myself.

Be welcomed to the ethereal music hall! A stringed aperitif is in order… do tell the Symposium what do you write, from where… and what IS, indeed, your wraithful visage for tonight?

Come in, come in! The Phantasmal Symposium has just begun! Settle in the ruined music hall, and tell us – what do you write, from where, and in what ghostly visage have you arrived at our askewed doorstep?

I am quite typical here. Strangely deserted mountain villages and mining towns. Secluded shrines. Half-sunken castles.

They often protect revelations about who the living were as they summoned the ghosts as spirits, what were their sins, and what led them to their doom.

Now, let us begin! Let the flutes bleat and the trumps blare, snatching all the souls of the living away! What are your favourite haunts? Mausoleums? Lavish estates? What secrets do their wraiths protect within?

Well, definitely depends on what genre you want 😅 the novels are fantasy. The series more epic/classic fantasy and standalone NA vibes portal fantasy.
The short stories are little horror pieces.
