Most councils simply don't have know how many accessible homes they have, how many are needed and whether it is affordable. This needs to change.

To begin tackling the accessible housing crisis, housing providers must collect data to understand the scale of the problem. #AccessibleHomesWeek

Greenwich council is fixing the Greenwich foot tunnel's faulty north lift - still no updates on the Woolwich foot tunnel's north lift, which has been broken for over three years.

Lift status Greenwich Foot Tunnel. No posters on the message board to warn people! Not everyone clicks on the QR code to council website which isn’t up to date anyway! North lift has been broken since 28 April!Many people are struggling up the stairs! @royalgreenwich.bsky.social

The lift contractor is now on site and north lift, which has been out of action since 28 May is getting fixed but we hope this will be a long term solution.The fact remains that this has been poorly managed over many years and thousands of users severely compromised.

It matters that the Mayor has finally named the atrocities in Gaza for what they are – a genocide.

Londoners have been marching in their thousands for weeks on end.

They’ve faced media backlash and been smeared as ‘hate marchers’ simply for demanding this country ends its complicity.

Add to this the lack of foot and cycle crossings in East London, the failure of the cycle bridge project, the willing failures of local councils to keep the foot tunnels accessible, and the forcing of another road tunnel on East London.
