Stumbled across this picture of a student's homework from my JET days. I'm going to guess the student was in the 7th or 8th grade. I got a kick out of @ktnguyen.bsky.social's students calling him Mr. Kevin. I forgot that I once was Mr. Matt.

I like it! I could see it for daily-use. The cap's a bit finicky, & I don't grip that close to the nib, so the grip feels short. Still, I like the finish, the feel, and it writes great for taking notes while working. I'll use this alongside my Pilot Capless for everyday stuff & see how it goes!

One of the 7/11 x Netflix collab products is this Midnight Boost drink. It has no calories and no caffeine, so it's a curious concoction. Not sure on efficacy yet. It has a very light citrus taste. It's so light this might be good for people who hate that typical energy drink taste.

I've never been into using bath salts and the like, but my partner does. It has been a nice change, especially when feeling less than top drawer, to have a warm bath with some seasoning thrown in.

Now there's a bit of a spicy kick! This didn't leave me in pain or suffering, but it had more than your average zestiness. Like most quick curries, I wish there were a little more meat. Works as a nice mid-day pick-me-up to launch into a productive afternoon.

Experiments in bread continue! The right one is a super simple, probably solid, recipe. The left, however, is getting closer to what I expect dough to behave like. Got the 2nd loaf pan so I can start making bread easily for friends 😁

Loaf number 2! Basically, the same recipe, but I tried it without milk & a little more water. Dough was still too goopy but baked up well. I think it's a little better with milk in the dough. Spongy but toasts & holds together well for sandwiches.

Baked my 1st loaf of bread yesterday. It came out pretty good. Simple recipe, but very tasty. I think my liquid volume is too high, as I don't get a good sturdy dough ball before baking—it's definitely gooey. Trying something slightly different today; hopefully, I learn as I go! #baking

Had our 7-herb rice porridge last night. Hopefully, it brings some health & good luck. Not bad with a little salt, though it doesn't taste strongly of anything.

Y'all playing Bongo Cat? It's a little cat that plays the bongos on your task bar as you type, and it's free on Steam! It's mostly a cute thing that grooves while you work. Having a goofy cat track my keystrokes is oddly motivating!
