I remember the furore about 'spin' during the Blair years. Brexit politicians replaced spin with blatant lies, and they've carried on ever since. It's another element of fascism that has entered our politics.

When the Tories were last in office - according to international Human Rights Watch - UK was on course to make list of countries that abuse rather than protect human rights. Is it any wonder they want us to join Russia & Belarus as only European countries outside the ECHR

I’m not so sure.
The Tories will not be in power ever again at this rate.
And if Reform try to do it, the outcry from business and the inevitable economic, legal, practical and political carnage would upend their govt in weeks.
These are unworkable populist tantrums and our media needs to say so.

For months, Badenoch has said that she wouldn't jump the gun on leaving the ECHR, because she wanted to fully assess the implications, and within 24 hours of announcing the policy, completely on the hoof, she has also committed her party to a no-deal Brexit by default. 😂 🤡 😂 ~AA
