Oooh I do love a sticker - that’s a good idea. I’m going to ask my sticker design guy when he’s back from vacation.

I was laid off from The Hill after 2.5 years as an Associate Opinion Editor—not because I posted something uncouth about a recently murdered man, but because the corporate parent had wanted to do layoffs for months but union action delayed them.

If you hear of any job openings, please let me know!

The patterns have been consistent.

When students protest against racist speech on campus, they’re labeled as coddled snowflakes who need to welcome outdated modes of thought on campus. It’s a free speech issue when folks are defending others rights to say racist or similar ideas.

Oh man - I have to take moment to mark the loss of a local celebrity today, too. Marilyn Hagerty, North Dakota's (and I would unironically argue the nation's) best food columnist has passed away at the age of 99. You might know her from her viral Olive Garden review, but there's so much more. <1/2>
Marilyn Hagerty, Herald reporter and columnist for nearly 70 years, dies at age 99
She wrote for the Herald for more than 60 years and became nationally famous for her work as a food critic.

Though delayed by my internship year, I have a new paper out in Journal of Psychopathology and Clinical Science! In this paper, we examine rates of inconsistency in lifetime reporting of self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs) among youth in the ABCD Study!

Protip: If you go to an Indian restaurant in America, and it's all aloo gobi this and tikka masala that, but there's a dish or two that you don't recognize - get it. There's a very good chance it's a regional specialty from where the owners grew up and it will be delicious

Not too long ago there was bipartisan support for supportive “housing first” for people on the streets: it’s safe, humane, reduces crime, reduces hospitalization, & saves the community $. This ain’t it.
