I used to say to upper middle class Americans do you want to live in a society where you need bodyguards and armored cars and take out kidnapping insurance and I’ve been getting increasingly worried they do
there's a pattern in american news people that becomes way more magnified and obvious that the same people making the propaganda about how The Streets Are Unsafe are also consuming that propaganda and have created a self-perpetuating machine of panicking over teenagers doing the knockout game
