What on earth does this mean?? Evidently I've missed something....
If the biggest donor to the DCCC/DNC ran a website where you could use AI to take women's clothes off I feel like there'd be a demand for Dems to give the money back.

Did Trump also kidnap the Epstein Files?

Whatever happened with the DOJ’s requirement to release the files, explain the redactions, and catalog everything they had?

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

The responses to this post make me feel better--I'm not alone! I use a clock radio and love it. I do use an alarm on my phone for cooking, though, and it's an app that looks like an old-fashioned twist timer.
Do people outside of TV and the movies still use alarm clocks? Or does everyone pretty much use their cell phone.

Reminds me that I need to buy this book:
I think engineers are especially prone to Trumpism, for reasons that are complex but have to do mostly with narrow expertise and a belief in yes/no, right/wrong solutions. I wrote about this problem in The Death of Expertise:

Honestly at some point you have to start doing psyops with these people:

Have Obama announce that he will seek a third term tomorrow. Then watch all the con law “scholars” and Fix News MELT DOWN trying to explain why he can’t but Trump can. (It’s like Newsom taking over his social media persona)
Q: One theory on how you might try to serve a 3rd term is that you could run at the vice president

TRUMP: Yeah, I'd be allowed to do that. But I would rule that out because it's too cute.

@arimelber.bsky.social The year 2000 was last century. 2001 is the first year of the 21st century.

Yup.
At least on social media, one reason people are "like this" is: the internet removed even the smallest frictional costs for blurting out whatever stray neuron is in your brain.
Used to be that even to send a letter, you'd need paper, a stamp, etc, and in the time it took, the impulse would pass.
Why are people like this?

I ended up turning this into a little bit of a thread, because I sincerely want to understand why so many of the people who could do something about this endless parade of horrors are choosing to enable and endorse it all through inaction.
It is remarkable and astonishing that the entire apparatus of the Republican party -- the entire organization and every single person who is part of it -- has been converted into a cover-up operation to protect a single pedophile rapist.

Is that why these Republicans went into politics? Really?

My prediction is that in that scenario, he blames the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which puts out employment data. Calls them corrupt, run by Democrats, out to get him. Fires people there, insists their numbers cannot be trusted, White House puts out its own fictitious data to make Trump look good
