My sister is having a baby and she mentioned she won’t get paid for two months essentially because her company doesn’t offer maternity leave and she can’t apply for short term disability or anything because she was injured in the last 5 years and like damn I wonder why women are not having children

When I was in my early 20s I made too much for Medicaid and also couldn’t afford the premiums on the exchange so I just didn’t have health insurance and I think about all of the sketchy shit I did to get out of having to actually go to the doctor when I was sick
