💚 Happy Earth Day! 💚

Even when I was depressed I always made it a point to go pick up trash around my community on Earth Day. The little things matter and sometimes it's as simple as showing the people in your community that someone does care and we can all do a little here and there. 💚

Kinda sus that Pope Francis is cheerful and well all day for Easter, then meets with JD Vance and winds up dead...

Just saying... I'm 100% on board for conspiracy theories surrounding this administration. Not an insignificant number of them have been pretty plausible.

I don't just hate AI because it's coming for my job. I hate AI because - as Miyazaki identified - it's an insult to life itself. The point of being alive is to strive and fail and learn and grow, gaining wisdom and experience. AI robs you of that. It doesn't give you a chance to fail and learn.

Farewell #nanowrimo ! You were once a thriving and vibrant community and then you did away with that, got a shit website, had a grooming scandal, kicked out MLS who were the community backbone, and pretended AI=writing. Not surprised the funding dried up. Writers left ages ago. Still a sad loss.

I'm finally feeling like writing again. I think I'll pull out my study abroad romance and give it a good edit and try querying it finally!

I took off my shadow
And planted it in the grass

While the wind blew silently
It sprouted as a plant and grew all across the meadow

Dizzy, like fluttering strands of hair or the ends of a skirt that slow down permanently +

Musk wants to inspect our IRS data to catch everyday Americans committing tax fraud—an overreach of DOGE’s power. Personal tax data has nothing to do with government efficiency.

If there's an alternative way to write in name corrections to help Google Maps out with fixing the recent name error it'd be lovely to hear about. :)
Google Maps blocks Gulf of America reviews after rename criticism
It controversially updated the Gulf's name for US users after President Trump ordered it to be changed.

The removal of a transgender reference from the National Park Service’s Stonewall website wasn’t done by NPS staff. Elon, care to elaborate?

Mr Rogers and Sesame Street taught me love, kindness, compassion, and empathy. Star Trek taught me to dream of and aspire to help create a better and more diverse world. Star Wars and Tolkien taught me to fight for freedom, even in the face of overwhelming odds and great evil.

"The best and the worst thing about vaccination is that it 'makes nothing happen.'

A child successfully inoculated against measles doesn’t fall sick with that condition, doesn’t miss school, doesn’t go to the hospital. They don’t suffer life-changing complications. They don’t die prematurely."
A leading pediatrician was already worried about the future of vaccines. Then RFK Jr. came along
In a new book, pediatric infectious disease specialist Dr. Adam Ratner details the history of measles, a virus that’s often a bellwether for public health disasters.

Would really love if Green Day would just re-release American Idiot like it's a new album. So many people have memory holed it or didn't pay attention and we really need that energy right now.

"The halftime show was boring."

Look, you may not be familiar with the genius of Kendrick Lamar and couldn't quite hear the lyrics and don't know the backstory and the symbolism went over your head, but trust me when I say you'll want to read an analysis of it and rewatch. A true masterpiece.

Instead of saying "I didn't understand the halftime show, therefore it is bad art" maybe try and understand why you didn't get it and think critically about the presentation, symbolism, etc. This is part of the beauty of art and creativity.

I do not want to 'draft with copilot'. I do not want to 'paste with copilot'. I want to write my book, using my skills as an author, which I have been honing for almost twenty years. I do not need a copilot. I can fly through the stormy weather all by myself.
