Listening to Nine Lessons And Carols on Radio 4 and thinking of my mum. Strong memories of her having a moment of calm in the kitchen on Christmas Eves when this was on. I’m luck to have a husband who does most of the cooking but I’ll be thinking of her as I stir the custard for the trifle.

Two studies to investigate the impact of puberty blockers in young people with gender incongruence have been announced by researchers in the UK after an expert view said gender medicine was “built on shaky foundations”.
Puberty blockers were originally used to treat early onset puberty in children but have also been used off-label in children with gender dysphoria or incongruence. Continue reading...

Continuing my rant about Edinburgh airport public transport. I can buy a combined ticket for the train and tram from Aberdour to Edinburgh Airport for £11.80. But if I travel the other way, I have to buy two separate tickets - £7.90 for the tram and £7.80 for the train. £15.70! Why?!
