Listening to Nine Lessons And Carols on Radio 4 and thinking of my mum. Strong memories of her having a moment of calm in the kitchen on Christmas Eves when this was on. I’m luck to have a husband who does most of the cooking but I’ll be thinking of her as I stir the custard for the trifle.
