Hey everyone! Okay! we're growing steadily, small but mighty, as we generally do. I have noted that the list is being a little touchy and sometimes I have to re-add folks - if you wanted to join but aren't showing, just let me know, I can fix it fast - yay tech hiccups! #pei go.bsky.app/2Uvx4Ym

Just posted this to FedBook a few days ago: "It has become so much harder to do very basic things and that makes everything feel like a heavier lift." - So yes, I really agree with this.
Everything seems so much harder lately. Just hard, hard, hard. (IT'S FINE IT'S FINE)

Estimates of homelessness range up to about a quarter million. Estimates of the number of empty homes in Canada are more like 1.3 million. The supply is there. Capitalism just won’t let the people who need homes get safe or reliable access to homes because it would be slightly less profitable. 16/

Painting is a good distraction from worry! I finished this magnet for Matt's Mom. She loves the beach more than anyone else I know and swims almost every day of the summer. I'm hoping this can remind her of her favorite place in the cold months. 💕 It's 3" and done with acrylics.

Slaves are the exact opposite of protected people. Ms. Hemming was a child when Jefferson started raping her and forcing her to bear children he also kept as slaves. Protected? From what? Slavery? Um... From who? Rapist slave owners? Um... 😡
Let's not rewrite history here (amateur historian here.)

Jefferson was not "obscenely" rich. He was wealthy yes, but John Hancock was the wealthiest Founder.

Jefferson kept his slaves to protect them. While married in the U.S, in Paris his slave Sally Hemmings was "the madam of the house."

The sky last night was so beautiful 😍 We had this view while gaming. We played Abandon All Artichokes and The Hunger. Artichokes is a super fast, snappy card game, easy to pick up. The Hunted is more complicated - it's a fun vampiric strategy game with a tight time crunch that amps up the tension.

I'm seeing hero-yearning in the Mamdani-WH-visit online chatter. No one person can reform a man, and even if he did, the System just continues. Wishing someone will save us is human, but we need to resist languishing in projected hopes and mobilize. Superman's not coming. youtu.be/EeyhKWjQaKk?...

This. One thousand times this. We should be fiercely protecting and supporting every person in this territory, what the hell else are we doing any of this for? I dunno about you, making and keeping a small minority wealthy doesn't do it for me.

Islanders can be so deeply ugly, it makes me feel very ashamed. Thank you Stratford and big love to the entire trans, non-binary, and gender diverse community. My thoughts are with the community and all my loved ones on this Transgender Day of Remembrance.
The Town of Stratford has decided to turn off comments on a social media post about a transgender flag-raising event at town hall in support of National Transgender Awareness Week after people left messages using what officials called "inappropriate and hurtful" language.

This morning was scraping ice off the car (and realizing I need my mitts again) with leaves looking like frosted flakes on the walk to the office. Beautiful! It's surreal thinking about ocean swimming not so long ago ❄️

The few good things in Canada are being systematically attacked, eroded, and dismantled. And it suits the powerful just fine as they can afford cancer treatment from our rent cheques.

K no election. How about no more floor crossers and keep Carney in a minority? In this system, minorities are closer to PR and force nuance in leadership.
