Gist on the State’s legal officer’s argument against the SC line of caselaw which did away with the immunity from challenge of the Royal Perogative.

The Royal Prerogative UK caselaw was only finally repudiated in the 1960s by the Supreme Court, to the state’s upset.

Paul’s on the money again. He’s exactly right, the Govt don’t want to give us a say in all of this.
"The bill is deliberately drafted in such a way to ensure the government will never have to hold a referendum on investor courts ever again."

We all know why the government doesn't want to bring this to the people. They know people are against it, which is why they want to quietly push it through.

Leaving Dublin now.
In the departure terminal in one of the shops, I heard a man verbally and xenophobically abusing airport young worker at the till. I told him to stop, he came at me asking what my problem was, backed down, and left.
If you can and you think it's safe, speak up.

It’s time for a different Govt, with different values & objectives. A left coalition elected President Connolly, a left coalition would handle the #DerelictIreland crisis differently. They would also house the homeless- how many people could be accommodated here?
So much potential for homes wasted for a decade while people die on our streets
Shame on all the owners for hoarding while also destroying our streets with this vandalism
Time for use it or lose it across Ireland so everyone has a home

Extraordinary courage from Ahmed al Ahmed, a Muslim, 43-year-old father of two, who bravely risked his life to save his neighbors celebrating Hanukkah.

Praying for his full & speedy recovery.

And so deeply inspired by his example.

Truly shameful homelessness has become a massive industry in Ireland
F*ck the property hoarders & all those making money off this structural violence & vandalism

When the self-proclaimed champions of free speech become drivers of censorship. This is the real #cancelculture on women, queer people, people of colour, workers and human rights activists.

That’s why @socialistsanddemocrats.eu call for an inquiry committee on #BigTech in the European Parliament.

I agree. However, this is a result we can expect with the age verification systems S&D are pushing for both at the EU level and in MS. They create incentives for tech companies to restrict so-called "woke" content to make social media "child-friendly" (aka less prone to lawsuits by conservatives).

If he had these ideas himself, it would be a Christmas miracle.

But in fact, they are the Zuckerberg lobbying aim across the world.
