To gauge how it’s “working,” one would have to be clear on what the actual work is, which is not helping to educate children but rather to imbed these systems in a way that they cannot be removed, establish them as a source of truth, and destabilize labor.

Hear me out: a dark academia murder book that opens at a department beginning-of-the-year celebration on a boat (I know a department that does this) and a professor goes overboard. The intrepid department chair must figure out who did it. Everyone is a suspect, including the chair herself.

They just banned cell phones from bell to bell in every school in New York State. Cyrus had been pushing for a cell phone, but as soon as this ban went into effect he was like "phew, at least this is one less thing to worry about" and dropped his campaign to get a phone entirely (at least for now).
