I like this hike bc there used to be so much strawberry guava to eat, but it looks like DLNR actually does get shit done and removed them all so this was literally the only one I could find 😭

my daughter and I were looking at art and there was one of a pope and she was like, what’s a pope, then I had to explain church and god and she was like, i don’t understand any of this, and I was like, damn, wow, what a completely different life from me you’ve had so far

Many of the component parts of AI may have some some genuine use cases, but AI as it is sold is an attempt to rob us of our future.

I stopped calling Octavia butlers work prophetic once I realized she herself literally said that her work was influenced by deeply studying history which gave have her insight into the future. I realized I was watering down how truly brilliant she was and what she was trying to get across

College faculty in another world istg. They asked ab teaching HS & I was discussing how I’m worried they’ll want me to do chem bc we have 0 supplies or $$ & would have to start from scratch.
They’re like, they have affordable kits.
And I’m like, what part of $0 budget do you not understand

The way these profs label their curriculum is absolute chaos. Pre-reading assignment, Post-class reflection, Pre-class activity. Sometimes they put it in the week they would assign it, sometimes they put it in the week it's due. Shit, just call it all fucking homework.
