Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms.

Can confirm. My brother's boss had to leave a meeting because they're terrorizing her kid's daycare. This is just what passes for normal now in the cities.
Apparently ICE goons in multi-car caravans are circling Spanish immersion preschools in the city taunting and photographing the parents and neighbors who are patrolling the school perimeter to keep kids safe.

We have rights too. The Secretary of Defense cannot arbitrarily punish a member of the military, current or retired, because his feelings got hurt. If what he did is provably wrong that it can be punished then follow the UCMJ and administrative regulations. He didn't because he can't. Good on Kelly
BREAKING: Senator Mark Kelly sues Pete Hegseth, DOD, and others over Hegseth's censure of Kelly and effort to reduce his retirement grade, alleging violations of the First Amendment, due process, Speech & Debate Clause, and federal laws.

Kelly is represented by Arnold & Porter.

Important: Minneapolis killing should lead Dems to draw a much harder line against *any* ICE funding in budget talks, Swalwell/Goldman agree.

"I am not going to pay masked thugs to shoot moms in the face. Period," Swalwell says.

A Dem House should be for defunding.

“Venezuela stole our oil. Unilaterally seized and sold American oil.”

No. The decent democratic pro-US governments of the 70s-80s-90s nationalized its oil industry, negotiating deals with foreign companies. The hateful Chavista regime, Trump-like, used its power to demand better and better deals.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

This is the most extreme, irresponsible, and un-Constitutional sentence Trump has yet uttered in office.

"We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition."

WE'RE GOING TO RUN THE COUNTRY.

When Mark Carney sets specific goals for Canada to "diversify away" from its reliance on the US—making headlines in Canada but not the US—hear that for what it is: Close partners and allies looking elsewhere for better friends.

This is the silent way that the US loses its pointless trade war.
