When you paint every person with the same brush you paint over heroes too.

That man put his life at risk to save lives, but I bet tomorrow he'll still get hit with the same xenophobia despite it.

Mental how all the white nationalists in the country are already spouting off their racist bullshit anti immigrant rhetoric over the shooting in Australia but failing to mention the brave man who disarmed the shooter was a muslim immigrant.

Many more would have died if it wasnt for Ahmed al Ahmed.

We're stuck using a low-resolution clinical 'map' to describe a very complex territory that is the human brain.

It's important to recognize that the individual is more than their diagnosis & what we view as single conditions are far more complex & varied than we can easily categorize.
A petavoxel fragment of human cerebral cortex reconstructed at nanoscale resolution
To fully understand how the human brain works, knowledge of its structure at high resolution is needed. Presented here is a computationally intensive reconstruction of the ultrastructure of a cubic mi...

This is a unifying theme in human health: Many chronic conditions arise from common roots but express in different ways.

Mental health diagnoses are often linked: people with schizophrenia are much more likely to have bipolar disorder.

There's a *spectrum* of psychopathology.

I'll say this from the bottom, middle & top of my heart.

Being a good friend can be hard.

Sometimes you have to be honest when it's way easier to just say what they want to hear.

But the integrity and trust you gain by doing so, is so much better than whatever sting your sincerity might cause.

Sorry, let me be more constructive, here's a comprehensive guide on why age verification not only _does not_ work, but cannot work — and harms everyone, of all ages, on the internet: www.eff.org/deeplinks/20...
Age Verification Is Coming For the Internet. We Built You a Resource Hub to Fight Back.
Age verification laws are proliferating fast across the United States and around the world, creating a dangerous and confusing tangle of rules about what we’re all allowed to see and do online. That's...

The thing about measles is that it’s the only known virus that triggers immune amnesia - it causes your immune system to forget everything it has previously learned. Meaning you essentially reset to zero and are now at risk of basically everything.

It can take 2-3 years to get immunities back.

Doctors say her bloodwork shows signs of an infection, but they haven't figured out where.
