Thread.
You're going to hear a lot of Rob Reiner stories in the coming days, and I'm sure this will be the most minor.

But I had the opportunity to work for him on a small project shot at his home a few years ago. <thread>

The beloved classic films directed and/or produced by Rob Reiner were a staple of my adult life. The manner of his death, and that of his wife, hits a little harder for me because something very similar happened to people close to me. Such a devastating, profound loss.

You may be cool, but you’ll never be as cool as Roddy McDowell between shots in Planet of the Apes.

I don’t do Spotify and my Apple Music recap is pretty one note, but this is a good reflection of my podcast listening in @pocketcasts.com.

If ACIP chooses to ignore evidence, when it comes to vaccines, parents and clinicians must ignore ACIP and look to those who continue to offer data-based guidance, especially our medical societies.

No matter what uniform they wear, armed federal agents and military troops must respect constitutional rights to peaceful assembly, freedom of speech, and due process. If troops or federal agents violate these boundaries, they and their leadership should face legal consequences.

Great thread.
And not to get too real on a late night post, but yeah.

I am *so* fucking done with people acting like this is normal. That the president of our country can just flat out lie and it’s not a big deal. That an entire branch of our government has been subverted to the whims of a serial liar.
As someone who has had multiple MRIs, you absolutely know what the techs are imaging before they put you in the machine, because if there is any sort of metal in the target area you *really* need to let them know beforehand since cleaning bloodstains out of the tube is NOT a good time

I thought I was done with bike rides until Spring, but 67 degrees on November 14th in Minnesota proved me wrong.

Our daughter applied to college today. Three of them, in fact. Regardless of their decisions, "proud" doesn't even come close to how we feel about the work she's put in to get to this point.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread could not be anymore on the nose than it already is.
Friendly reminder that Republicans are garbage, entirely devoid of empathy, compassion, or honor. They are terrified little babies who are filled with hate, scared to death of anything they don't understand. And they don't understand most things, because they are also deeply incurious.
