not new information but it's insane that NASCAR sent the final draft of the charter agreement (you can kind of think of this as a CBA but between the league and teams) at 5PM on a wednesday with a 6PM "take it or leave it" deadline. no negotiation. NASCAR thinks that's reasonable business practice

the best summaries are the daily megathreads on r/nascar (seriously) and the daily recaps on THE TEARDOWN by jeff gluck and jordan bianchi. everything about this seems very serious and this is still somehow only a story on reddit and in a circle of a few dozen NASCAR reporters

NASCAR is soooo fucked. Not a single thing has come out about the case which is a win for them, and on some level that's impressive to screw the pooch that badly

The recent 60 Minutes on Polymarket was just Anderson Cooper being a credulous rube the whole time. No discussion at all about how whales/coordinated influence ops could skew odds and drive narratives about electoral possibilities or the general corrosiveness of gambling on our society. BLEAK
