an illustration of a frog singing in a swamp. a collection of storyboard examples A character model sheet for Kilo Monster A biography that reads: "Ashley Green is a Los Angeles based storyboard artist whose credits include Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and the independent Lackadaisy short film and series.

Prior to her five years experience in animation, she served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and while this did not provide any artistic skills, her leadership, problem solving, and teamwork skills were mastered. Attended University of California, San Diego studying Film and Video.

Proficient in digital programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Blender, and Storyboard Pro.

Interests outside of comics and animation media include biology, especially weird animals and ecology, computers, camping out in the desert chasing lizards, and a little cosmic, existential horror as a treat.

A movie she would make you watch: Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Her goals and aspirations are to direct an animated film and complete a graphic novel series."

I can only hope to be the kind of person like Dolly where the internet prays intensely for me to continue living upon rumors of being gravely ill, unlike when the president was rumored to be gravely ill and everyone prayed to make it happen faster.

This is the best news I've heard the entirety of 2025.

BREAKING

In a new video, Dolly Parton, the Queen of America, says she’s going to be ok.
kilomonster.art
Whoops I forgot that there were particular rules about reblogs and likes for these things. I appreciate the reminder.
kilomonster.art
Ah, I did see that, though I am trying to do film storyboarding and not comic storyboarding, so it doesn't fit well with what I need.

So an attempt was made to use CSP to do a storyboard sequence and guys… my file organization is atrocious and I don’t know how to fix it. Do I gotta look up people’s Photoshop storyboarding workflows?

We’re not dealing with brilliant strategists cleverly laying traps, we’re dealing with impulsive whiners whose advantage is contempt for laws, norms, and morality.

They’re not pulling some elaborate trick, they’re just willing—even eager—to do things regular, principled people consider off limits.

Note that you can’t disregard and threat they pose, but they are little tiny yappy dogs that never got proper training. Easily overpowered but they still bite so handle accordingly.

Fascists desperately want to be seen as tough and cool. Never ever ever allow this. Remind them constantly that they are little whiny baby losers forever.

Civilian drug testing seems so laid back compared to military drug testing were some had to keep eyes on the specimen cup at all times, which can be unnerving if you are pee shy.

What I don't get is if the government is shutdown, why do any of these chucklefucks have any power at this point?
kilomonster.art
That image where it's like make it first and then make it good is actually one of my biggest art sins. And especially with story stuff because I am looking at it at all angles and have so many things that need to work I need it all to be right. I want to get better at this so bad.

That's a very hard wall to hit. It's cliché advice, but also very true: Push through it. Perfect-in-your-head is the enemy of done-in-reality. However "bad" you think you are now is the worst you're going to be because future you (the one that finished and kept going) is better.

I’m almost done with the board homework and I just hit a wall of hating what I made and how stupid I am for thinking any one would want me as a feature story artist.
kilomonster.art
I don't know how to give myself concrete deadlines for personal work because I am aware that it is self imposed and won't disappoint anyone.

My boards needed a dramatic extreme close up using a fish eye lens on the lizard protagonist. I never use a fish eye lens before. #art #doodles
A dramatic storyboard frame of an extreme close up of a lizard with a fish eye lens perspective.

I appreciate that in the production schedule she gives herself three days (a week?) to step away from the work and more folks should factor that sort of thing into the process. I know I will.

Then you go into Michael’s on October 1st, and bam, it’s Christmas.

I need to ask a plumber or other septic systems person why 1 ply toilet paper is preferred when it feels like people will use twice or more times the 1 ply anyway.

I try to get storyboard homework done on the couch because I’m having trouble sitting at my desk and this asshole decided she wants to be here and hates the stylus.

Union ain’t perfect but it’s somethin and can get better when people get better at reporting. TAG is getting more engaged so I’m hopeful.

This right here. I love my art friends and art community, but I'm also trying to run a business as a freelancer/selling products and I need the reach! Every time we scatter to different platforms it's a little harder to exist as a working artist whose primary visibility is only online.
upongoblinhill.bsky.social
As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.

I find myself just not saying much cause animation industry is so bad that I’m grateful something is hiring my friends and now that Spindlehorse is unionized, there can be more accountability if any shady practices show up again.

There’s this weird conflation of critique of the work and critique of the creator in this particular example that I wish people wouldn’t do. I’m not into Hellaverse cause that’s not my thing at my age, which is separate how I do not like its creator because what was done to people I care about.

I am glad to have the freedom to decide to just not go if it’s a bad day.

My not LA friends need to understand that it takes me over an hour to drive from East LA to West LA and that is why I will not join you on your LA adventures without extensive planning for it.
