This is precisely the kind of government coercion that the First Amendment was designed to prevent — and media companies need to start standing up rather than capitulating to it.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.

Democratic elected officials, here's some unsolicited advice.

People are looking for leadership. Right now. This moment.

Someone, anyone, take the konch and forcefully respond to JD Vance and Stephen Miller's promise to declare war against America.

Speak up now. Press conference today.

MAGA is lost, folks.

Don't waste your time convincing them.

It's a cult beholden to Trump, hate and lies (Yes, he lost the 2020 election.)

Win over the majority instead.

Just share all the facts about Charlie Kirk using his own words and rhetoric, and Trump embracing violence.

It's all there.

MAGA's Cancel Culture Comes For All of Us

Republicans who have long been against cancel culture and safe spaces are abusing their power to silence and crush anyone using their free speech to criticize Charlie Kirk's legacy of hate.

Legacy media is literally caping for white supremacy now. Quoting the man they’re venerating, whose proud life’s work was disparaging marginalized groups, is officially a firing offense, but calling for the homeless to be euthanized is not. Wild.

The right ignored the murder of the Minnesota House Speaker by a guy who had a hit list of Democrats he was targeting to flip control of the chamber to Republicans.

Asked about that assassination today, the president said he didn't know who she was and a Fox host said he didn't care she was killed.

When I was placed on the Professor Watchlist in 2021, people sent death threats about my children. I had security officers monitor my 8yo at school.

Where is all the outrage for those of us who have been targeted for years? Where is the outrage for our families?

My own colleagues are silent.

The Black mayor of Memphis, the Black mayor of Shelby County, and the Black police chief, were not involved.
