ANALYSIS | The low point among a sea of low points was probably the U.S. president laughing and saying, ‘So you’re saying if we happen to be in a war with somebody, no more elections?’

This was worse than the last time Trump met Zelensky. It was also deeply weird.

UK governments plural have yet to work out that this kind of ridiculous hype actually undermines their position in adding to the disappointment when benefits of trade deals are not noticeable.
PM Keir Starmer told me from Chequers today that signing the India trade deal - along with deals with the US & EU - has put the UK “back on the world stage”. So far, feedback from groups who were concerned abt the deal is relatively upbeat t.co/jl5UD8NYen

@giroditalia.bsky.social with one stage to go.
As someone who has experienced both winning a national Tour and losing a Grand Tour in similar circumstances I can appreciate the emotions involved. 🙂😞

Aye, "Stats" tell us our population is declining. But it wouldn't decline if Westminster rejoined the EU or allows more Commonwealth citizens to resettle in the UK. So it will be by design that the UK is depopulated and not a natural depopulation.

“Starmer's EU deal is a big break in the suffocating Brexit consensus that has held Britain back for a decade. For the first time a UK government is doing things to actually undo the damage of Brexit, rather than increase it. For that alone it should be welcomed” 👏

NHS gender services were poor when I transitioned more than 25 years ago. They tried to keep private provision to an absolute minimum and harassed anyone outside their system. NHS GICs have worsened since to now being basically non existent and any private care is effectively banned.

Another reason not to vote Reform UK on 1st May
Nigel Farage has told ITV News the first thing he would do as prime minister if he won a general election would be to remove the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights

That alone is good reason never to vote for Reform UK.
