So the social media algorthm gave me this, which feels like a validation of your point? And also WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK.

No, I take that back, I do understand what you’re saying - the French are trying to police language. Very on brand.
December 12, 2025 at 8:24 AM
What?
December 12, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Alas, I am going to miss this festive event for the most part. I have seasonal local events to attend, for the last time, as I prepare to emigrate back to the heartland.

I will check in off and on throughout the night because I love multitasking.

The best thing about language is that is evolves. Regardless of what anyone wants, or thinks, or tries. Language just becomes whatever it wants. New words? FANTASTIC. Old words defined anew? AMAZING. Did the cat say that?? SQUEEEEEE.

Is there a Joe Bob this weekend?
December 12, 2025 at 6:56 AM
Yeah, the fucked up thing for me is how much I don’t want to stand up for the NYT but also I have to defend it against *that* bullshit.
December 10, 2025 at 5:11 AM
That was the rightest wrong answer.

He directed VHS85.

Also there wasn’t much of a lot of comics after the purge. I’m currently reading a book about it. It was stupid, terrifying, and… have I already said stupid?

1954? Before the purge!
December 10, 2025 at 3:38 AM
I was reading a review of the latest remake of Silent Night Deadly Night (directed by Mike P. Nelson! Unfortunately the reviewer was not that complimentary) and now I’m going to have to hunt down that Tales from the Crypt episode.

Who needs an excuse to party??
December 8, 2025 at 8:41 AM
So basically you’re saying yes, my parents are more from Madison than you.
December 8, 2025 at 8:28 AM
Wait, what? You’re (relatively) new there? Have my parents been in Madison longer than you??
December 8, 2025 at 5:26 AM
I mean, exactly. When I try to sigh deep enough, it triggers a cough.
December 6, 2025 at 8:29 AM
I am concerned for this person given the double orange cat energy being directed at her forehead. That’s some powerful stuff.
December 6, 2025 at 8:21 AM
Yeah, they were hippie or hippie-adjacent before the Middleton Hemp Nest happened.
December 6, 2025 at 7:54 AM
Clearly a failure on your part, given the geographical proximity.
December 6, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Yeah, once you starting getting old, you start realizing the benefits of socialism. To be fair to them though, my parents have been lefties for decades.
December 6, 2025 at 7:08 AM
Or, you know, aging parents. Which, given my parents, is not NOT the dread spectre of socialism.
December 6, 2025 at 4:13 AM
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your… whatever this is? Is there an indifference level of frenemyship?
