Because I could not find relatively inexpensive yarn for the afghan my sister requested, I ordered it from Michael's. To my frustration, the middle purple is less middle and leans toward dark. Like on a scale of 1-5 it's a 4. (I'm going cheap because she'll let her dogs sleep on it.)

Found a link to a pdf of a book on dissociation that was really helpful to me years ago.
Get it while it's still there, and please share. People still aren't told about dissociation a lot of the time and it is a huge, life swallowing symptom of trauma.

I've started saying the full sentence to head that off at the pass. "I'm sorry that happened to you." or "I'm sorry I did that." Because when I intend the first and someone responds as though I meant the second, I'm not sure if they're being unintentionally obtuse or intentionally pedantic.

The aurora was dramatic enough on October 24, 2024 that my camera could see it. To my naked eye, it looked like a bit of light pollution where there should have been none. I heard a hum that reminded me to look for it.
