And it's finished! Just in time for my @camunifestivals workshop this weekend
The quilt shows twelve lovely flowers that you might find in your garden or in the wild, each surrounded by the colour of its pollen. Who'd have thought there were so many different pollen colours!

Not only was knitting used by organized spies, but women in occupied areas were often able to overhear troop plans and movements just by sitting and knitting! Never underestimate a crafter!

I'm planning a detailed post, but I had to share this bit now.

I’m on my 13 book of 2025. It’s been nice escaping reality and diving into a different world. Been super into fantasy again. Trying to get my creative bug back, I feel it slowly returning. I need to get into audio books so I can work with my hands but I’m so used to just reading ‘em. #booksky #📖🪱

Last night I finished assembling a crochet #Fox I’ve been working on for my daughter’s birthday. It’s my first time making a full sized #stuffedanimal, and not just a small #woobles sized one. Shoutout to them for teaching me how to #crochet almost 2 years ago now. #textileart #fiberart #amigurumi

I’m reading this book and the author definitely has a favorite phrase of “i lifted my chin” it’s used so frequently i tried it in the mirror and tbh what does that even mean? Yes it can be used as defiance or pride or a lot of things but also is a kinda weird gesture to overuse? #booksky #fourthwing

I’ve been renting books at the library/with Libby to save money, which is awesome, but omfg I’m so impatient to be able to finish 2 different series I’m reading. I keep checking my place in line hoping it’s almost my turn and trying to send a mental message to people to read faster lol #booksky

Whoops I totally got completely consumed by reading books and have neglected everything else. Started reading “fourth wing” by @rebeccayarros.bsky.social and am LOVING it and having hEDS depicted in a book that I’m reading for the first time. Super cool to have a character so much like myself

It’s perpetually so disorienting when you wake up from being put under to the nurse being like “yeah you got the Michael Jackson drug” uhhhhh thank you….? But also like maybe we should stop calling it that

Tiny insect appreciation post. I hand stitched all these little cuties! I think the #firefly might be my favorite, but I’m also pretty fond of that #bumblebee. These are all available on my Etsy ; )

Tbh @governorwalz.mn.gov and @sanders.senate.gov would have been an incredible duo that likely would have won the election. Can you imagine? Makes me tear up thinking about what we could have and what reality is currently
As the forces of hatred are on the march, my promise is this:

Our trans neighbors will continue to be safe, protected, and welcome in Minnesota.

Donald Trump is trying to block trillions of dollars in federal funds to Meals on Wheels, Medicaid, and other critical programs that keep us safe and healthy. If allowed to go into effect, this would wreak havoc across the country.

Tell Congress: Trump cannot be allowed to defund our communities.
Tell Congress: Don't defund our communities
President Trump’s decision to block trillions in federal funding to critical services already approved by Congress is a reckless, cruel, unprecedented power grab that will impact every one of us.

Omfg i feel 1000 years old today. Kinda crazy how that little slip down the stairs was probably worse than I realized, especially given I’ve got spine issues 🥴 it’s fine tho i probably just shrunk a little more and need to wait for that disc material to be reabsorbed and stop hurting me 🙃 #eds #ow

Congress is rushing cuts to Medicaid – a health insurance program for children and adults with low incomes, seniors in long-term care, pregnant women and people with disabilities. Tell Congress to stop cuts and protect critical care for those who need it the most. #HandsOffOurMedicaid

A #poem I wrote years ago now about a girl I liked soooo much. She might have broken my heart but I still admire her so much. #queerwriting #queerart #queerpoetry #poetry poem typed out in alt caption = ) written on 1/25/2017, and titled Secrets from last night.

Feels like something is there and I’m dyingggg for Mor to finally get her romantic story line that she deserves. If not I guess I gotta get into #writing #fanfic #sarahjmaas

Aint nothing like slipping down the stairs to scare the shit out of you 😅 I’m mostly okay? But we’ll see in the morning for sure. So glad I didn’t fall further, really hoping my back and joints aren’t going to revolt on me

I thought I’d share my first #mixedmedia #embroidery and #naturaldye piece I made. I used #marigold petals and my favorite #coreopsistinctoria flower. I gifted this to a friend as a house warming gift. #flowerpounding is so fun & cathartic, I can’t wait for spring/summer! #art #botanicalart

One of my most favorite murals, though I am a touch biased (that’s my sweetie’s #art)
This was my first mural, roughly 4 years ago. So wild to know its been around the Dolores Park neighborhood in SF. I'm lucky to have gotten this project from an awesome non-profit 333_arts in the bay area & working with the building owner who donates to the #seaturtleconservancy #mural #DoloresPark

3 different #flowerpounded leaf #art pieces of mine. Made with a few different species of #coreopsis leaves for todays #januARTy theme of #green. I then added my #handstitchedembroidery to the pieces including tiny little #birds (does this count for #birbfest2025?) a #cardinal and #easternbluebird

Two pieces of mine that made me think of the #januarty prompt of #curve not only are they in #embroidery hoops that are round, but the pieces themselves have some curves within. Both made with #flowerpounded #coreopsis and then #handstitched embellishments added. One of these is still available!#art

The best thing to come out of me deleting most social media is having so much more time to read… but also I’m just finally hooked by the #ACOTAR series and am deep within book 3. Feels good to get my bookworm habits back… My art projects however are less pleased with me lol, sorry backlog of to-dos!

Thankfully #pressedflowers are #flat which is todays #januarty theme. These pieces I made a couple years ago now with flowers from our #garden. I looove #pansy flowers so much and they preserve so well when dried. The #hydrangea flowers were gifted to me from a friend’s garden, so special. #art
