Trying to stay optimistic abt the future of freelance art when every fucking day I see another artist lose their accounts for rules that are intentionally vague so they can cull artists at will. I don’t think an old favorite band selling out is the worst thing. The worst thing is putting on an album by one of your old favorites and it just not doing anything for you anymore. Not bad, not cringe, just… nothing. It just crumbles to dust and you can’t remember why you liked them to begin with.

Cartoon characters are just cartoon characters. We take from them what we need and want, but characters are who they are. They have their own journeys. I think sometimes people forget the point of fiction. I’ve seen people let characters dictate their life, as have I. It’s not worth it.
