Publishers won’t pass on a cash cow. If Madonna wants to publish a kid’s book, they’ll do it. But that revenue gives them the stability to publish great works that unknown folks are writing. And they are still doing that, too. But the work has to be extraordinary. There are lots of good manuscripts.

It should be abundantly clear by now that rules are made by rich white men, but don’t apply to them.

The idea is not to stop extremism - that’s impossible and no one here is delusional enough to think the ban will do that. The idea is to stop legitimizing extremism. And it should have been done years ago imho.

I absolutely agree. She has no interest in the Dem party and would have nothing to gain. All the more frustrating to see a smart guy like Raskin suggest we’d welcome her. I applaud her recent apology for her past rhetoric, but also understand where she continues to stand politically.
